NYC: A Private Event with Major Energy
To debut the collection, NIGO hosted an exclusive event in New York City, a setting that mirrors the soul of the collection itself. Drawing heavy inspiration from 1980s and 1990s aesthetics, the collab pays homage to the raw, authentic energy of NYC’s golden era of hip-hop—a culture that helped shape NIGO’s early creative identity.
The event had all the energy of a block party meets luxury showroom. With spotlights on quilted G-Class SUVs, oversized Moncler puffers, and capsule-ready streetwear, guests were immersed in a world where icy slopes and city pavement coexist.
Notable Guests in the Building
The star-studded guest list brought together tastemakers across fashion, music, and art. Joey Bada$$ pulled up in true NY fashion, representing the generation that continues to bridge legacy and evolution. Legendary artist and cultural icon KAWS was also in attendance, a long-time peer of NIGO and a constant force in redefining visual culture. Their presence underscored the deep respect this collection commands across creative circles.
Other attendees included high-profile fashion insiders, music producers, and automotive elite—each drawn to the rare fusion of craftsmanship, nostalgia, and bold futurism on display.
Quilted G-Wagons & Street-Ready Peaks
The standout? An absolutely unreal quilted Mercedes-Benz G-Class—an homage to Moncler’s signature puffer aesthetic. Wrapped in what looks like down-filled upholstery, it blurs the line between sculpture and vehicle. On the fashion side, expect oversized puffers, utility vests, and accessories that echo the tactical-meets-luxury language of both brands. Everything is infused with NIGO’s signature twist: nostalgia, edge, and reverence for the street.
The Fit: Puffers, Patchwork, and Precision
The apparel lineup pushes the boundaries of outerwear, with Moncler’s iconic silhouettes reimagined through NIGO’s streetwear sensibility. Think oversized puffers with exaggerated collars, military-style quilting, and bold patchwork patterns that nod to vintage hip-hop fashion. Neutral tones are punctuated with metallics and icy blues, giving the collection a futuristic-yet-retro edge. Utility plays a key role too—cargo details, technical fabrics, and adjustable fastenings turn every piece into something both functional and statement-making. Whether you’re hitting the slopes or the streets, these garments are engineered to turn heads and defy limits.
